Jamal Khashoggi case: Turkish Police Searches The Forest

Till now, police in Turkey are still investigating and searching everywhere to find Mr Jamal Khashoggi, and they’ve recently expanded their search to the Belgrad Forest after having information that two Saudi consulate’s cars went through that direction on 2 October, the day of the crime.

The Turkish authorities blames the Saudi Arabia for murdering Mr Khashoggi who disappeared on 2 October.

Although he disappeared after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, and they found his DNA in the Saudi consulate and the consul’s residence, they still deny knowing what happened.

The turkish prosecutors questioned more than 15 Turkish nationals employed at the Saudi consulate including the consulate driver, technicians, receptionists, accountants, etc.

What happened to Jamal Khashoggi?

In short, the story is that a Saudi journalist called Mr Khashoggi had some problems with his country, so he has been living in self-imposed exile for a while in the US.

On 2 October, he needed some paperwork for his marriage, so he went to the Saudi consulate in Istanbul and never came out.

As a result, the turkish officials and everyone else believe that he was murdered inside by a few Saudi agents who then disposed his body.

Turkish officials say that they have audio and video showing the murder while Saudi Arabia says that he left the embassy alive.

Nothing is sure yet, and the investigations are still going on.
